A member funded organization, CHFT represents over 45,000 people living in over 160 non-profit co-operatives located in Durham, Toronto, and York Region. Espousing the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equity, and solidarity, the supportive and committed team at CHFT strive to provide service of the highest possible quality at a fair price. With the 7 Co-operative Principles as guidelines, CHFT promotes the development of new co-ops and provides the education and assistance required by the co-operative housing sector with a strong emphasis on diversity, community, and inclusivity.
