Spinal Cord Injury Ontario
SCI Ontario came into existence as a result of Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario rebranding itself in November of 2012. Founded originally in 1945 by a group of World War II veterans who had sustained spinal cord injuries, the organization sought to break down barriers and provide a wide variety of supports to people living with spinal cord injuries outside of the hospital / institutional setting. Carrying on in this tradition, SCI Ontario has expanded and currently operates out of 16 regional offices throughout the province. The dedicated and caring outreach team at SCI Ontario provide community support in the Toronto region.
